Benefits of Slack Integration

Beep allows users to enhance their existing workflow on Slack with seamless integration. This integrations allows you to share and discuss beeps directly with your teammates on Slack.

Integrating Beep with Jira

  1. Open the dashboard (click here to learn how).
  1. Click on the “Integrations” tab.
  1. In the Slack Integration container, click on the “Connect” button.
  1. On the pop-up window, click on the “Let’s start” button.
  1. Log-in to Slack, if prompted to.
  1. When shown the page “Beep is requesting permission to access the… workspace”, scroll down until you see the “Where should Beep post?” drop-down menu.
  1. Open the drop-down menu, scroll down and under “Direct Messages” select “Beep”.
  1. At the bottom of the same page, click on the “Allow” button.
  1. Done. A confirmation pop-up window will allow you to invite your Slack teammates to Beep. You should also now see your Slack integration container have a green “Connected” label (like the one below).

How to use Slack with Beep

  1. Create a beep on your browser (click here to learn how).
  1. Once you’ve typed your message, type “@s+” in the comment box and you’ll see a window display your Slack team.
  1. Select the teammate you wish to send or assign the comment to.
  1. Click “Save / Send” to deliver the message directly to that teammate’s Slack channel.

How to use disconnect Slack integration

  1. Open the dashboard (click here to learn how).
  1. Click on the “Integrations” tab.
  1. In the Slack Integration container, click on the “Settings” button.
  1. On the upper-right corner of the next page, click on the “Disconnect” button.
  1. On the “Cancel integration” pop-up window, click on the “Delete” button to confirm.
  1. Lastly, click the “Done” button.
