Introduction

Workflow speed increases with every interaction that requires exchanging visual feedback. This means the more people in your team that use Beep, the more time saved you collectively enjoy.

1. Creating a Team

1. On your browser’s extension toolbar, click on the Beep icon.

2. Once the extension window appears, click on the “team” tab.

3. Type the name you wish to call your team in the field, then click the “create your team” button

2. Inviting People to Your Team

1. After creating a team, navigate to the “team” tab in the Beep extension (steps 1.1 & 1.2).

2. Click on “+ add teammate”.

3. You’ll be given 3 choices to invite a teammate:
   1. Copy Invitation Link
      1. After clicking this option, the button will change to say “Link copied!”. This means the invite link has been added to your clipboard.

      2. Paste the link into any messaging tool and send it out to your teammates.

   2. Invite by username
      1. After clicking this option, a window will appear prompting you to type your teammates’ Beep usernames.

      2. Type in their usernames (follow the format provided by the field, making sure to include the “@” before typing in their username).

      3. By default, 4 slots for usernames are given. If you want to invite more teammates, just click the “Add” button and an extra slot will appear to insert an additional username. Repeat as necessary.

      4. Once you’ve typed all your teammates’ email addresses, click on the “Send invitations” button.

      5. A green box saying “Invitation is sent!” will appear if successful.

4. Wait for your teammates to accept your invitation. If you sent your invitation via link and your teammates are not Beep users, they will need to install Beep and sign-up before they can accept your invitation to join the team.

Can’t add someone to your team?

You may encounter the message “These usernames were not found” when inviting by username (such as in the image above).
