Requirements

To join a team on Beep, you need:

• to have Beep installed on your browser

• to have signed-up as a Beep user

1. Have you been invited?

Teams on Beep are invite-only, you cannot join a team any other way.

There are 2 methods to find out if you’ve been invited to join a team:

A) Via the Extension

1. On your browser’s extension toolbar, click on the Beep icon.

2. On the Beep extension window that appears, click on the “team” tab.
   • If the tab shows “Create your team” (like the image below), it means you have not yet received any team invitations.

   

   • If the tab shows “You have been invited to join (team name)” (like the image below), then you have been granted access to a team.

   

B) Via the dashboard

1. Open the dashboard (click here to learn how)

2. Click on the “Team” tab.
   • If the Team page shows “Create your team” (like the image below), it means you have not yet received any team invitations.
     

   • If the Team page shows “You have been invited to join team (team name)” (like the image below), then you have been granted access to a team.
     

3. If you received an invitation, continue to the next steps. If not, reach out to the team admin to send you the invitation. If they do not know how to do so, send them the link to this article.

2. Joining a Team

There are two ways to accept an invitation:

A) Via the Extension

1. On your browser (logged into your Beep account), click on the Beep icon in your extension toolbar.

2. Click on the “team” tab.

3. Finally, click the “Accept” button.

B) Via the dashboard

1. Open the dashboard (click here to learn how).

2. Click on the “Team” tab.

3. Finally, click on the “accept invite” button.

Important: 1 team per user

At the moment, Beep has a 1 team per user limitation. It does not matter if you created that team, or joined the team via invitation.

If you wish to have more than 1 team, we recommend creating a new Beep account using another email address and then joining/creating that new team.
